The Facebook post here, published on July 15, 2019 and shared more than 480 times, claims the woman standing second from the right in the photo is Callamard.
Below is a screenshot of the misleading post, with an obscenity blacked out by AFP:
The photo was also shared in a 2018 Facebook post with a similar claim here.
Callamard, who is UN special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, has criticised Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte over his ongoing deadly drug war and called for it to be investigated by the UN.
An AFP article on the narcotics crackdown, which began in 2016, is here.
Duterte has previously claimed that Soros is funding attacks on him.
A Google reverse image search traced the photo in the misleading post to this 2018 report on the official website of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The headline of the report, shown in a screenshot below, is “Munich Security Conference closed: Minister Shekerinska had a number of bilateral meetings and participated in several panels”.
The photo used in the misleading Facebook post is circled in red.
Below is a screenshot of the photo on the website:
The caption says “Sekerinska-Dimitrov-George i Alex Soros”.
Sekerinska refers to Radmila Sekerinska – also spelled Shekerinska in English. She is deputy prime minister and minister of defence of the Republic of North Macedonia. Here is her official Facebook account.
Further Google image and keyword searches show the other people in the photo are North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov (L), billionaire George Soros (2nd L) and his son Alexander Soros (R).
