Posts shared thousands of times on Facebook say that the third week of the month will include a time change, Friday the 13th and a full moon. This is false; these three events will not happen in the same week -- the daylight saving time change will happen on the 14th, the 13th is a Saturday and the next full moon occurs on the 28th.

“Next week has a time change, Full Moon and Friday the 13th,” a March 8, 2021 Facebook post on a US-run page says.

Other examples of the inaccurate claim -- also all posted on March 8 -- appeared on Facebook here and here.

Daylight saving time -- forward one hour for more light in the evening -- will happen in the US at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

There is no Friday the 13th in March this year. The 13th of the month will be on a Saturday

And the next full moon will occur on March 28.

The confusion might come from the fact that in March 2020, these three events did occur within a few days' time frame.

March 2020 did have Friday the 13th, it also had a “Supermoon” on Monday the 9th, according to a NASA report, and the daylight saving time change happened on March 8
