The post, shared on page titled ‘JumlaExpress’, purports to show FIFA president Gianni Infantino handing Modi the jumper at the Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Argentina that was held on November 30 and December 1, 2018. The G20 summit gathers leaders from 19 countries and the European Union.
The photo, posted on December 3, 2018, has a caption in Hindi that reads: “Life gives justice, he’s been given the right shirt #Modi420.”
It was shared more than 7,000 times in just over one day.
The number on the shirt has been edited from an image of Modi being handed a jumper by Infantino with G20 inscribed on it.
Modi tweeted the original photo from his verified Twitter handle.
Impossible to come to Argentina and not think about football. Argentinian players are tremendously popular in India.
