Why were you there?
I wasn’t protesting that day. I supported the yellow vests, but I was at home cooking for some friends who were out marching.
What happened?
I went out into the street to tell them the food was ready, and I was hit in the eye by the police. I wasn’t far away from them, they targeted me, and my friends confirmed it was the police who shot me.
What is your life like now?
I’m completely blind in my left eye and my vision has gotten worse in my right eye. I’m trying to get on with my life bit by bit. I’ve got a little house by myself, but I can’t work at the moment. Life is hard because I can’t do a lot right now. My friends come to see me now and then to see how I’m doing, but I can’t really spend time with them because of my injury.
