Fifteen-year-old Ramy was injured on December 6, 2018 in front of his high school in Venissieux, eastern France. He was not involved in the yellow vests protest. A police enquiry found he came into contact with tear gas, but the boy and his legal team argue he was hit by a rubber bullet or a “sting-ball” grenade, his lawyer Maxence Pascal said.
AFP was not able to meet him.
