An online article shared hundreds of times on Facebook claims in its headline to contain a “viral sex video” featuring the host of a popular Philippine game show and a contestant. The claim is false; the video in the article is not explicit; it shows the contestant talking to fans and sharing make-up tips.

Multiple Facebook posts, for example this one published June 15, 2019, contain a link to this misleading online article.

The article's headline claims that it contains a “viral sex video” of Willie Revillame – a Filipino actor who also hosts a game show called "Wowowin". The female contestant seen in the thumbnail of the Facebook post is called Herlene Nicole Budol.

Budol first appeared on Wowowin as a contestant on May 29, 2019. Keyword searches on Google found this article published by GMA – the local TV network that broadcasts the show.

A thumbnail showing Revillame (left) and Budol (right) also appears in the Facebook post, as seen in the screenshot below:

The post’s Tagalog language caption translates to English as: “#SexyShrimpOlderBrotherWill”.

“Shrimp” is a slang term in the Philippines used to describe a person whose body is considered attractive but whose face is not.

Clicking on the link in the Facebook post leads to this article on a site called matindetokitangkita.club.

The website describes itself here as a “social news network where stories inspire community engagement and digitally fuelled actions for social change”.

Below is a screenshot of the article:

The article’s Tagalog language headline translates to English as: “Sexy Shrimp of Wowowin Has a Viral Sex Video with Willie Revillame it’s even on LIVE STREAM”.

There is a video embedded in the article, but after clicking “play” it only runs for around five seconds; the footage displayed in those moments shows Herlene Nicole Budol wearing a black T-shirt and speaking to the camera.

After five seconds an orange advert covers the footage. The image below contains a screenshot from the first five seconds of the video (top) and the advert (bottom):

Clicking on a drop-down menu that appears on the clip leads to this YouTube video, dated June 10, 2019. It is one hour, 22 minutes and 37 seconds long.

In the YouTube video, Budol can be seen talking about her life and sharing make-up tips.

The thumbnail in the online report, where she is seen licking her hand, appears at the 3:34 mark.

The video is not a sex video and does not feature Revillame.

The video is embedded below:

The caption of the Youtube video states: “HERLENE 'SEXY SHRIMP' NICOLE BUDOL”.

Budol posted the same video on her personal Facebook page here on June 10, 2019.
